Mitti Attar is the most famous of all attars and revered for the aroma of rain drenching dry soil.  This is referred to as petrichor, a unique earthy aroma.  Mitti Attar is the codistillation of costly sandalwood oil and baked earth.  Its incredible aroma smells like a sudden summer thunderstorm on hot baked soil or terracotta clay.  Imagine the scent of rain steaming off a very hot sidewalk or dusty soil and this is the unique aroma mitti attar possesses.
