Opoponax absolute

Opoponax (Opoponox) is sometimes referred to as "sweet myrrh" and references to this resin trace back to an Ancient Greece. Opoponax smells of oak, vanilla, honey, powder and leather and is a primary essence in oriental perfumes. Famously used in the formulation of vintage Coco and Shalimar, this resin is challenging to source in absolute form. Opoponax absolute is a long lasting basenote, with a sweeter, warmer aroma than the essential oil.
